JE Pistons PORSCHE 3.0L DM KIT Set of 6 Pistons

This set of six pistons is specifically made for the 1978-1983 Porsche 911 with its 3.0L engine. If you're rebuilding the top end of your air-cooled 911 and need pistons that can handle serious use, these are built for that kind of demand.

These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, which gives them the high tensile strength needed for performance applications. They feature JE's proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight too. Depending on the specific engine application, they may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and keeping power consistent. Some applications also get a skirt coating to further reduce friction and wear on the cylinder walls, which can also help quiet down the engine.

This kit includes everything you need to get these pistons installed: high-quality wrist pins, locks, and JE's Pro Seal premium piston rings. They are designed specifically for each engine and use application, aiming for the best combination of performance and durability.
