JE Pistons PORSCHE 3.3L DM KIT Set of 6 Pistons

If you're rebuilding the engine in your 1991 or 1992 Porsche 911, especially for performance applications, a solid set of pistons is crucial. These JE Pistons are built specifically for the 3.3L air-cooled six-cylinder engine, offering a significant upgrade over stock components. JE Pistons uses a proprietary forged side relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design, along with a shorter wrist pin, also saves weight. The pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material known for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for high-demand performance applications. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure and improve ring seal, as well as a skirt coating to further reduce friction and wear while quieting operation.
