JE Pistons Ring Sets 1/16-1/16-3mm RING

The top ring on this JE Pistons set is made from ductile iron with a plasma moly coating, measuring 1/16 inch thick. This material and coating combination is chosen to help seal combustion pressure effectively, which is key to getting the most horsepower out of your engine. This set is designed for 8-cylinder engines and requires file fitting, meaning you'll adjust the end gap to match your specific cylinder bore for optimal performance and sealing.

Beyond the top ring, the second ring is also 1/16 inch and made from iron phosphate, further contributing to a solid seal. The oil ring is a low-tension, 3mm (0.1181 inch) carbon steel chrome design. Low tension oil rings are often used to reduce drag and friction within the cylinder, which can lead to improved power and efficiency.
