This JE Pistons ring set includes a file-fit ductile iron top ring, an iron phosphate second ring, and a carbon steel low-tension oil ring. These rings are designed to create a tight seal in the cylinder bore, which is crucial for maximizing horsepower by effectively containing combustion pressure. JE Pistons offers these rings in a wide variety of sizes and thicknesses to fit many different engines.
The top ring is made from ductile iron with a plasma moly coating, measuring 0.064 inches thick. The second ring is also 0.064 inches thick and made of iron phosphate. For the oil control, you get a 0.1181-inch (3mm) low-tension oil ring constructed from carbon steel with a chrome finish.
