JE Pistons SBC 400 FSR DOME Set of 8 Pistons

JE Pistons has been a leader in forged racing pistons for over 75 years, and they've applied that experience to their wide range of forged pistons for domestic engines. This set of eight SBC 400 FSR dome pistons is engineered, forged, and machined 100% in the USA using 2618 aluminum, which provides the high tensile strength needed for high-demand performance applications. They are designed specifically for each engine and use application to offer an optimized combination of performance and durability.

These pistons feature JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design minimizes friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, which also saves additional weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce pressure from combustion gases, which can reduce ring fluttering and improve ring seal for consistent power. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also reducing operating noise. The 4.155-inch bore size and dome design are tailored for the SBC 400 engine.

This piston kit includes eight pistons, each with a 4.155-inch bore, a 1.000-inch compression distance, and a 0.927-inch pin.
