JE Pistons SBC 400 FSR DOME Set of 8 Pistons

This is a set of eight JE Pistons, specifically designed for a Small Block Chevrolet 400 cubic inch engine. You're getting a complete kit with pistons featuring a dome top, designed to work with a 4.155-inch bore. These pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for high-demand performance applications where durability is critical.

JE Pistons has applied over 75 years of experience to these forged pistons. They are engineered and machined 100% in the USA. A notable feature is the proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, which helps prevent ring flutter and improves ring seal for consistent power. Some applications also feature a skirt coating that reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also lowering operating noise.
