If you're building a high-performance Small Block Chevy 400, these JE Pistons FSR Dome pistons are a solid choice. JE Pistons has been making forged racing pistons for over 75 years, and they build these right here in the USA using 2618 aluminum. This material gives them the high tensile strength you need when you're pushing an engine hard, whether that's on the drag strip or a dirt track.

What sets these apart is the FSR forging design. It's a proprietary design that reduces skirt width and uses a shorter wrist pin, which cuts down on friction and saves weight. Some applications also get an accumulator groove, which helps prevent combustion gases from causing ring flutter, leading to a more consistent seal and better power. If your application includes a skirt coating, that's another bonus, as it further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet things down. These are designed specifically for the SBC 400 engine, ensuring optimized performance and durability for your build.
