These pistons feature JE Pistons' proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design. This unique forging minimizes skirt width, which helps reduce friction and power loss while also saving weight. The design can also include an accumulator groove, depending on the specific application, to manage combustion gas pressure, reduce ring flutter, and improve ring seal for consistent power delivery. Some applications also include a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.

Constructed from 2618 aluminum, these pistons possess the high tensile strength necessary for high-demand performance applications. They are designed specifically for the Small Block Chevrolet engine and its intended use, optimizing both performance and durability. This set includes eight flat-top pistons, each with a 4.040-inch bore, a 1.125-inch compression distance (CD), and a 0.927-inch wrist pin.
