This kit features JE's proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps reduce friction and power loss by using a shorter wrist pin and a narrower skirt. Some applications also include an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, which can prevent ring flutter and improve the seal for consistent power delivery. If your application includes a skirt coating, it further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down the engine.
