This JE Pistons kit gives you a complete set of four forged pistons, specifically made for the Subaru EJ25 DOHC engine with an 11.5:1 compression ratio. You'll also get high-quality wrist pins, locks, and JE's Pro Seal premium piston rings, all ready to install. These pistons are forged and machined entirely in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its strong tensile strength, which is crucial for high-demand performance applications where durability is key.

JE Pistons uses their proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design, along with a shorter wrist pin, also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to help manage combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and reducing ring flutter. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.
