JE Pistons SUB EJ25 DOHC 8.5:1 KIT Set of 4 Pistons

Forged from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons are built for high-demand performance applications. This set is specifically designed for the Subaru EJ25 DOHC engine, featuring an 8.5:1 compression ratio with an inverted dome/dish design. The 3.927-inch bore size and 0.905-inch pin diameter are key specifications for ensuring a proper fit and function within the engine block.

JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to their forged piston designs, and this kit is no exception. They utilize a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. This design also saves weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and reducing ring flutter. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, contributing to quieter operation.
