These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, which offers the high tensile strength needed for demanding performance builds. JE uses a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design that helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. Some applications might also include an accumulator groove to help reduce pressure from combustion gases, which can improve ring seal and reduce fluttering. If your application includes a skirt coating, it's there to further reduce friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down operation.

With a 11.5:1 compression ratio and a 3.927-inch bore, these pistons are designed for optimized performance and durability.
