JE Pistons brings over 75 years of experience to their forged piston designs. This kit utilizes their proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. The shorter wrist pin also contributes to saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and preventing ring flutter. A skirt coating, if included for your application, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, leading to quieter operation and longer life.
