They're designed specifically for the Subaru EJ205 engine, featuring a 93mm bore and a 9.5:1 compression ratio with an inverted dome/dish design. This material choice provides the high tensile strength needed when you're pushing your engine hard, whether that's on the track or just in spirited driving.

JE Pistons uses their proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width. This design also saves weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, which can prevent ring flutter and improve ring seal for more consistent power.
