The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width, while also saving weight with a shorter wrist pin. Depending on the specific application, an accumulator groove is included to help reduce pressure from combustion gases, which can improve ring seal and lead to more consistent power.
