These JE Pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material chosen for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for the demands of a performance-built engine. They are designed specifically for the 2JZ-GTE, ensuring they work with the engine's unique characteristics.

JE Pistons uses a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design. This design helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width and using a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal for consistent power delivery. Some applications also include a skirt coating that further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down engine noise.
