This makes them exceptionally well-built for the extreme cylinder pressures found in high-performance engine builds, especially those using power adders like turbochargers or nitrous oxide. These pistons are designed for GM Gen III and IV LS engines with a 4.125-inch bore and a 3.622-inch stroke.

Beyond their strong forging, these Ultra Series pistons come equipped with custom-level features that are usually only found in fully custom builds. They include a thermal barrier crown coating, which is a ceramic-based material that reflects heat back into the combustion chamber. This helps reduce piston crown temperatures and can improve exhaust gas scavenging. The pistons also feature a skirt coating to reduce friction and wear on both the piston skirts and cylinder walls, which also helps quiet down operation, especially during cold starts. For enhanced durability and performance under high RPM and boost, lateral gas ports are included to help maintain a strong ring seal on the top compression ring.
