The thermal barrier crown coating on these pistons reflects heat back into the combustion chamber, which helps lower piston crown temperatures and can improve exhaust gas scavenging. For reduced friction and wear on both the piston skirts and cylinder walls, a durable skirt coating is applied. This coating also helps quiet down operation, especially during cold starts. To ensure consistent lubrication and reduce heat and friction in the critical pin, pin bore, and small-end areas, these pistons feature optimized pin oiling. Lateral gas ports are incorporated to help maintain a strong ring seal, even at high RPMs and under significant boost, ensuring efficient combustion.
