When you're building a serious GM Gen V LT1 engine, you get a set of eight JE Pistons Ultra Series pistons. These aren't your average pistons; they're built from the ground up with advanced features for high-horsepower applications, especially those running boost or nitrous. JE Pistons uses their proprietary Aligned Grain Flow forging technology, which is a unique process that maximizes the material's strength to handle the intense pressures inside a performance engine. You'll also find a thermal barrier crown coating on top, which helps reflect heat back into the combustion chamber, keeping the piston cooler and improving how efficiently the exhaust gases are scavenged.

Beyond the crown, these pistons come with a skirt coating that's designed to cut down on friction and wear between the piston and cylinder wall. This not only helps the engine run smoother but can also reduce some of that typical piston noise, especially when the engine is cold. They've also updated the pin oiling to make sure the wrist pin and connecting rod small end stay well-lubricated, reducing heat and wear in that critical area. For maintaining a solid ring seal even under high boost and high RPM, lateral gas ports are included. Every part of these pistons is optimized for high-horsepower racing engines, and they're all made right here in the USA.

This set includes the eight forged pistons, each with a 4.070-inch bore, an inverted dome/dish design, and a 0.927-inch pin diameter. They are made from 2618 aluminum, known for its strength and durability in high-stress applications. Keep in mind these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
