JE Pistons has a solid reputation for making strong engine parts, and their Ultra Series pistons are a prime example of that. If you're building a high-horsepower Mitsubishi EVO 7-9 with a 4G63 engine, these pistons are designed to handle the extreme cylinder pressures that come with serious boost. They're made from 2618 aluminum, a well-known material for its strength in performance applications.

What sets these Ultra Series pistons apart are the custom-level features you get right out of the box. JE's proprietary Aligned Grain Flow forging technology maximizes tensile strength, which is crucial for withstanding the stresses of a power-adder engine. You also get a thermal barrier crown coating that reflects heat back into the combustion chamber, helping to keep piston crown temperatures down and improve exhaust scavenging. For reduced friction and wear on the skirts and cylinder walls, there's a special skirt coating, which also helps quiet things down, especially during a cold start. Plus, lateral gas ports are included to help maintain a strong ring seal even at high RPMs and under high boost conditions. These pistons also feature optimized pin oiling for better lubrication of the wrist pin and small-end, reducing heat and wear. They come with high-strength, thick-wall wrist pins from Trend Performance, built for demanding builds.

This set includes four pistons, each with an 86mm bore and an inverted dome/dish design, resulting in a 10.0:1 compression ratio. They are designed for a 22mm pin and are made 100% in the USA. Please note that these pistons are not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
