This set of four pistons is specifically made for the VW 1.8T 20V engine, using 2618 aluminum which offers the high tensile strength needed for demanding performance applications. These pistons are engineered, forged, and machined 100% in the USA, ensuring they are built for durability and optimized performance.

This kit includes a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width. The shorter wrist pin also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may feature an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and preventing flutter. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also cutting down on operating noise. You'll also get high-quality wrist pins, locks, and JE Pro Seal premium piston rings included in the set.

This piston set features a 3.228-inch bore and an inverted dome/dish design, aiming for a 9.25:1 compression ratio. Please note that this kit is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
