JE Pistons VW 1.8T 20V KIT 82.5 Set of 4 Pistons

These pistons are forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, a material known for its high tensile strength, which is crucial for engines under heavy load. They feature JE's proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design, which helps reduce friction and power loss by using a narrower skirt and a shorter wrist pin, saving weight in the process. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also include an accumulator groove to help reduce combustion gas pressure, leading to better ring seal and consistent power, and a skirt coating to further reduce friction, wear, and engine noise.
