Forged in the USA from 2618 aluminum, these JE Pistons are built for high-demand performance applications. This set is specifically designed for the VW 2.0T TSI engine, featuring an 83mm bore and a 9.6:1 compression ratio with a -7.1cc dish. The 2618 aluminum alloy provides the high tensile strength needed to withstand the pressures of performance tuning and racing, ensuring durability when you push your engine hard.

JE Pistons incorporates its proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) forging design, which helps minimize friction and power loss by using a reduced skirt width. This design, along with a shorter wrist pin, also contributes to saving weight. Depending on the specific application, these pistons may also feature an accumulator groove to reduce combustion gas pressure, preventing ring flutter and improving ring seal for consistent power delivery. A skirt coating, if included for this application, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to lower operating noise.
