These JE Pistons are forged from 2618 aluminum, a material known for its high tensile strength, making them well-suited for high-demand performance applications where stock components might not hold up.

They feature a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design that helps minimize friction and power loss by reducing skirt width and using a shorter wrist pin, which also saves weight. Depending on the specific application, an accumulator groove might be included to help reduce combustion gas pressure, improving ring seal and maintaining consistent power. A skirt coating, also application-dependent, further reduces friction and wear on the piston skirts and cylinder walls, while also helping to quiet down operation.
