This system replaces the factory vacuum-actuated engagement with a cable-operated actuator, giving you a more positive connection every time you shift into 4WD. When you pull the cable about one inch, it connects the right front axle to the intermediate shaft using the shift collar and fork, ensuring your 4-wheel drive is engaged.

This setup is particularly helpful for lifted Jeeps, like those with 3-inch or taller suspensions, where vacuum lines can sometimes be less reliable.
