The high-density polyethylene (HDPE) tube in this K&N cold air intake is rotationally molded to help increase the volume of air flowing into your 2004-2008 Ford F-150's V8-5.4L engine. This improved airflow is designed to give you a noticeable increase in both horsepower and torque. The system includes a washable, reusable High-Flow Air Filter with oiled cotton media, which is oversized and conical in shape. Under normal highway driving, you can go up to 100,000 miles between servicing this filter.
A custom heat shield is part of the kit, working to keep the intake air away from the hot engine bay temperatures.
