The high-density polyethylene (HDPE) tube in this K&N intake kit is rotationally molded to help increase the volume of air going into your 2005-2010 Dodge Dakota's V8-4.7L engine. This improved airflow is designed to give you a noticeable increase in horsepower and torque. It replaces your factory air filter and intake tube, offering a more direct path for air to reach the engine.
This system comes with K&N's washable and reusable High-Flow Air Filter, which uses oiled cotton filter media. Its large, conical shape means you can often go up to 100,000 miles between servicing the filter under normal highway driving. A custom heat shield is included to help block hot air from the engine bay, keeping the intake air cooler. Installation is typically straightforward and can usually be completed in under an hour.
