The intake tube is rotationally-molded from high-density polyethylene (HDPE), a strong material that helps manage airflow. K&N guarantees this system will increase horsepower and torque. It comes with a washable and reusable oiled cotton gauze air filter that's oversized and conical in shape, meaning you can go up to 100,000 miles between cleanings under normal driving conditions. A custom heat shield is included to help keep hot engine bay air away from the intake, ensuring cooler air enters the engine for better combustion.
