The intake tube is made from high-density polyethylene, which is rotationally molded to help increase the volume of air going to your engine by a notable 83.2%. This improved airflow can lead to an increase of over 20 horsepower and 28 lb-ft of torque, and it doesn't require a special engine tune. It comes with K&N's washable and reusable High-Flow air filter, which uses oiled cotton media. The oversized, conical filter design means you can often go up to 100,000 miles between servicing it under normal highway driving conditions. The custom-designed air box helps shield the intake air from the hot engine bay temperatures, and the whole system usually installs in under an hour.
