How often should I clean this filter?

K&N recommends cleaning and re-oiling your filter every 50,000 miles for street use. Depending on your environment, you may need to clean it more often. Inspect the filter regularly and clean it when you see a buildup of dirt and debris.

What kind of oil should I use to re-oil this filter?

You should only use K&N filter oil to re-oil your air filter. Other oils may damage the filter material or not provide adequate filtration. K&N filter oil is specially formulated to work with the filter's cotton gauze material.

Does this filter come pre-oiled?

Yes, this filter comes pre-oiled from the factory, ready to install. You do not need to oil it before installation. You'll only need to clean and re-oil it after extended use.
