K&N recommends cleaning and re-oiling your filter every 50,000 miles for normal highway use. If you drive in dusty conditions, you may need to service it more frequently.

What kind of oil should I use to re-oil this filter?

You should only use K&N filter oil to re-oil your air filter. Other oils may damage the filter material or not provide adequate filtration.

How do I clean this air filter?

K&N sells filter cleaning kits that include both a cleaner and oil. Follow the instructions on the kit for best results. Generally, you spray on the cleaner, rinse the filter, let it dry, and then re-oil it.
