The rotationally-molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) tube in this K&N FIPK system is designed to help increase the volume of air flowing into your engine. This improved airflow is what helps deliver a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque for your 2011-2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD or 3500 HD, or your 2011-2014 GMC Sierra 2500 HD or 3500 HD with the 6.6L V8 engine.
This intake system comes with a washable and reusable High-Flow Air Filter. Its oiled cotton filter media and oversized, conical design mean you can go up to 100,000 miles between servicing the filter under normal highway driving conditions. A custom heat shield is included to help keep the intake air away from the hot engine bay, which is crucial for performance. The entire system is designed to fit right and can typically be installed in under 60 minutes.
