How often should I clean this filter?

K&N recommends cleaning and re-oiling your filter every 50,000 miles in normal highway driving. Depending on conditions, you may need to service it more often. Check it regularly for excessive dirt buildup.

What kind of oil do I need to re-oil the filter?

You'll want to use K&N filter oil, which is specially formulated to trap dirt without restricting airflow. Regular motor oil or other substitutes will damage the filter.
