How often should I clean and re-oil my K&N air filter?

The cleaning interval depends on your driving conditions. In normal street use, clean your filter every 50,000 miles. If you drive in dusty conditions, you will need to clean and re-oil it more often.

What is the flange made of?

The flange is constructed from ultra-strong, molded, pliable rubber. This material absorbs vibration and allows for a secure attachment. It can also be stretched up to 1/16 of an inch (1.5mm) to fit in-between sizes.
