Chevrolet's C8 Z06 flat-plane crank LT6 is one of the most remarkable engines GM has ever built, and it deserves exhaust components that match its engineering. Kooks Ultra-GREEN catted connection pipes (part #218133BK) are purpose-built for the 2023+ Z06, with 5-inch bodied catalytic converters and included thermal blankets that address the unique heat management challenges of the LT6's high-revving 5.5L V8.

Z06-Specific Design

While Kooks offers connection pipes for the standard C8, the Z06 needed its own solution. The flat-plane crank LT6 produces different exhaust characteristics than the cross-plane LT2, and the Z06's exhaust routing is distinct. These pipes use larger 5-inch bodied Ultra-GREEN catalytic converters to handle the Z06's exhaust volume, and the included thermal blankets manage the significant heat the LT6 generates -- protecting surrounding components and maintaining optimal catalytic converter operating temperature.

Installation

These connection pipes replace the factory catalytic converters on the Z06. The inlet side connects to the OEM exhaust manifolds, and the outlet feeds into the downstream exhaust.
