KW 23-24 Lotus Emira Base/2023 Lotus Emira First Edition V5 Coilover Kit

The KW V5 coilover suspension uses KW Solid Piston Technology, a design proven in motorsport, with damper valves arranged in series. This setup allows for incredibly precise and fast damping adjustments without any delay, which is crucial for sports cars and super sports cars like your Lotus Emira. The shock absorbers and valves react instantly to even the smallest inputs, whether it's from minimal steering movements, minor road imperfections, or significant driving maneuvers like braking, acceleration, and load changes. This means every input is damped with much greater accuracy.

KW Solid Piston dampers offer enhanced platform support for the chassis, allowing for the use of lower spring rates without compromising stability. The V5 kit features adjustable KW SPCLH-A (Solid Piston Compression Low- and Highspeed Adjustable) compression damping and KW SPRLH-A (Solid Piston Rebound Low- and Highspeed Adjustable) rebound damping. This offers a sensitive damping response, cavitation-free operation, precise high-frequency damping, and a low-pressure gas range from 6 to 10 bar. The low- and high-speed valve units are arranged in series with different valve spring types and main valves, giving you the freedom to individually adjust compression and rebound damping with 13 distinct clicks (14 characteristic curves) in both low- and high-speed ranges. This allows for a completely new type of harmonious damping tailored to your driving style.

The KW V5 system enables maximum or individual lowering within its tested adjustment range. Thanks to the dirt-resistant trapezoidal thread and polyamide threaded ring, you can quickly and easily adjust the continuous lowering, even after years of use. Each damper is hand-built and individually tested on a dyno at KW's headquarters in Fichtenberg, Germany, ensuring accuracy and preset shock settings before delivery.
