KW Coilover Kit V3 01-11 Mercedes SL-Class

The KW V3 Coilover kit uses a patented TVR-A (Twin Valve Rebound - Adjustable) technology that allows oil to flow past an adjustable, conical low-speed bypass during slow damper speeds. At higher speeds, the main rebound stage valve opens for maximum fluid displacement. This system, developed with motorsports technology, significantly reduces pitching and rolling movements during load changes like cornering, braking, and evasive maneuvers, leading to shorter braking distances and improved feedback for the driver. This kit fits a range of Mercedes SL-Class models from 2003-2012, excluding the Black Series and vehicles with Active Body Control.

The V3 kit also features TVC-A (Twin Valve Compression - Adjustable) technology, a patented compression valve that allows fine tuning of low-speed settings. During sudden high piston speeds, the low-speed needle and main valve blow-off feature open to maximize flow. This independent adjustability of compression and rebound damping allows you to customize the setup to your personal driving preferences or vehicle changes, such as weight, tire characteristics, or altered vehicle rigidity. The composite spring perch, made from wear-resistant, friction-optimized polyamide with a stainless-steel insert, prevents oxidation and maximizes strength. The Inox-Line Stainless Steel construction offers permanent corrosion resistance with an unlimited lifespan, ensuring the adjustment collars won't wear off.

Each KW V3 coilover strut is built by hand in Germany and given an individual serial number. Every damper is dyno tested to ensure accuracy and preset to recommended shock settings before release. The kit includes elastomer bump stops with integrated dust protection systems to prevent water and dirt from reaching the piston rod and seals, maintaining ride quality and durability.
