This tensioner is produced for serpentine belt routing applications and is made of high strength steel for improved life and durability. Unlike the OE part, this replacement tensioner Fix Kit fits Transit Busses - Adjustable for 5V banded V-Belts - Various Makes, Models, Engines, Years. The tensioner has round spring technology as well as the internal damping design required for this application.
