This Litens aftermarket part is designed and engineered by Litens Automotive Group - the world's largest supplier of Original Equipment (O.E.) tensioners. While the appearance is slightly different from the original equipment part, the Litens part maintains Ford/Mercury's original form, fit, and function specifications. For added durability, Litens has upgraded this tensioner to include a steel pulley .Note: Most other aftermarket tensioners for this application, have eliminated the O.E. specified internal damping feature which reduces torsional vibrations for a smoother, quieter running accessory system. Litens tensioners can be recognized by the internal round spring.
