This product is totally effective in reducing slack, squeals, and hard spots in worn rack and pinions. To correct worn rack and pinions, empty the reservoir and refill it with Lucas Power Steering Stop Leak. Results are immediate and long-lasting.
To stop leaks - when power steering reservoir is low, refill it with Lucas Power Steering Stop Leak until leak stops (1 or 2 12 oz. bottles). In newer units, add a small amount (about 4 oz.) to existing power steering fluid to stop initial wear. Adds life to pumps and seals. Compatible with all power steering fluids. Contains no harmful solvents.

My rack and pinion was so bad it had a dead spot and making noise so I bought this product last year to drain my power steering reservoir and install Lucas and it works and I been to 3 shops and they all wanted $1,800 to replace. That was 1 year ago and still going very very strong.
