It's designed to replace your original converter, helping you keep the check engine light off and ensuring your vehicle meets Federal/EPA emissions requirements. You get the converter itself, plus a Torca clamp to help with installation. This part is built to work with OBDII Federally registered vehicles that have California or Federal/EPA emission systems.
Magnaflow builds this converter with free-flowing, mandrel-bent tubing and a highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction, so it should last a good long while. They use 3D scanning during their research and development to make sure the fit and function are just like your factory original. The single laser fusion weld is designed to greatly reduce the chance of leaks, and its compact, low-mass design helps with thermal efficiency. The tubing is 16-gauge 409 stainless steel, and the welds are durable 308 stainless steel MIG welds.
Because this is a direct-fit unit, you won't need to cut or weld anything to install it, making the job much simpler with the proper tools. It's designed to interchange with OE parts like 171 490 23 19 and 171 490 29 19 80. Please note that this converter is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
