This is the Magnaflow Direct-Fit Catalytic Converter, specifically made for your 2005-2010 Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG with the 5.5L engine. Its main job is to help keep your check engine light off by making sure your vehicle meets federal emissions standards. It’s designed to be a direct replacement for your original converter, meaning you won't need to cut or weld anything during installation, making the job much simpler.

Magnaflow builds this converter using strong 16-gauge 409 stainless steel tubing, which is really good at resisting corrosion and should last a long time. They use advanced 3D scanning during their design process to make sure it fits just like the factory part. The tubing is mandrel-bent to keep the original shape and flow characteristics, and the compact design helps with thermal efficiency. A single laser fusion weld is used to greatly reduce the chance of exhaust leaks, and it comes with a Torca clamp to help ensure a secure seal.

This converter is designed to meet or exceed EPA emissions requirements for OBDII federally registered vehicles. While it's EPA compliant, please note that it is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California. The package includes a Torca clamp to assist with installation.
