This Magnaflow Direct-Fit Catalytic Converter (part number 49598) is what you get when you need to replace the original converter on your 2006-2010 Ford Explorer, 2007-2010 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, or 2006-2010 Mercury Mountaineer. It's designed to keep your check engine light off and ensure your vehicle meets Federal emissions requirements set by the EPA. You'll receive the converter itself, along with a Torca clamp and a donut gasket to help you get a proper seal during installation.

Magnaflow builds this converter with free-flowing, mandrel-bent tubing and highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel construction, specifically 16-gauge 409 stainless steel for the tubing and 308 stainless steel for the welds. They use advanced 3D scanning during their research and development to ensure this part fits and functions just like the original equipment. The spun body design replicates the OE style, and a single laser fusion weld is used to greatly reduce the chance of exhaust leaks. This compact, low-mass design also helps with thermal efficiency.
