This is the Magnaflow Direct-Fit Catalytic Converter for your 2003-2010 Hyundai Elantra. If your check engine light is on due to a failing converter, or if you're simply replacing an old one, this part is designed to get your emissions system back in working order and keep you compliant with federal standards. It's built to meet or exceed EPA requirements for OBDII federally registered vehicles.
Magnaflow builds this converter with free-flowing, mandrel-bent tubing made from strong 16-gauge 409 stainless steel, which is highly resistant to corrosion and means it should last a long time. They replicate the original equipment's spun body design, and use a single laser fusion weld to greatly reduce the chance of leaks. The compact, low-mass design also helps with thermal efficiency. Because it's a direct-fit unit, it's designed to install without any cutting or welding, making the job much simpler. Magnaflow also includes the necessary gaskets and hardware, so you won't have to reuse old, corroded parts or make a separate trip to the parts store.
This converter is designed to fit your Elantra and also works with the 2004-2009 Kia Spectra and Spectra5. It interchanges with OE part numbers 28510-23390 and 28510-23980. Please note that this converter is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
