This MagnaFlow Metallic Grade Direct-Fit Catalytic Converter is specifically made for your 2005-2009 Ford Mustang GT with the 4.6L engine. Its main job is to help your car meet federal emissions standards, keeping that check engine light off and ensuring your Mustang runs cleanly. Because it's a direct-fit unit, it's designed to bolt right up to your existing exhaust system, meaning no cutting or welding is needed for installation, which makes the job much simpler.

You'll find this converter is built with free-flowing, mandrel-bent tubing made from highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel, specifically 16-gauge 409 stainless steel for the tubing and 308 stainless steel for the welds. This construction not only helps it last longer but also maintains the factory performance and fuel efficiency by replicating the OE flow dynamics. MagnaFlow uses advanced 3D scanning during their design process to ensure a precise fit, just like the original equipment. The single laser fusion weld is designed to greatly reduce the chance of exhaust leaks, and its compact, low-mass design helps with thermal efficiency.

Included with the converter are two 2.5-inch band clamps to help secure the installation. This part is designed to meet or exceed federal emissions requirements for OBDII federally registered vehicles. Please note that this converter is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
