This MagnaFlow California Grade CARB Compliant Direct-Fit Catalytic Converter is built with highly corrosion-resistant stainless steel and free-flowing mandrel-bent tubing. It's designed to replace the original converter on your 2004-2006 Ford Ranger 4.0L or 2004-2006 Mazda B4000 4.0L without needing any cutting or welding, making installation straightforward with the proper tools. MagnaFlow uses advanced 3D scanning during their research and development to ensure this converter matches the fit and function of the original equipment.
The single laser fusion weld is expertly crafted to reduce the chance of leaks, and its compact, low-mass design helps with thermal efficiency. This converter is built to meet or exceed California Air Resource Board (CARB) requirements, and has passed additional testing for legal use in California and other CARB-restricted states. The durable 308 stainless steel MIG welds and 16-gauge 409 stainless steel tubing offer excellent corrosion resistance for a long service life, while the mandrel-bent tubing and OE-sized hangers help maintain factory performance and fuel economy.
This direct-fit converter includes a flange gasket to simplify installation. It interchanges with OE part numbers 1F72-40-050, 1F72-40-050A, and 1F76-40-050A.
