Mahle has engineered these pistons with a 3.947-inch bore and a 4.050-inch stroke, paired with a 6.125-inch rod and a .927-inch pin. They feature a -2.2cc dish volume, which contributes to a 9.4:1 compression ratio when used with compatible heads. This compression ratio is a good balance for many performance applications, offering improved power without being overly sensitive to fuel quality. The pistons are constructed from 4032 aluminum, a material known for its strength and thermal expansion properties, making them well-suited for high-performance engines. Each piston weighs in at 411 grams, contributing to a well-balanced rotating assembly.
