These pistons are forged from a domestic 2618 alloy, a material chosen for its exceptional strength and ability to withstand high temperatures and pressures. They come standard with premium Chrome Moly wrist pins, and Manley offers upgrades to even stronger alloys like 9310 and Turbo Tuff/DLC for those pushing the limits. The ring lands and grooves are machined to very strict standards, which is crucial for getting a good seal from your piston rings, leading to more power and better efficiency. Manley also uses proven cam and barrel skirt profiles that help the piston move smoothly in the cylinder, reducing wear on the cylinder walls while still making significant power.
