This Manley piston is made from 2618 alloy forgings, a strong material chosen for its ability to handle the demands of performance engines. It's designed for the 2004-2012 Subaru Impreza WRX STi with the EJ257 engine, featuring a 100mm bore and a dish shape that results in an 8.5:1 compression ratio. This specific piston is a single unit, intended for rebuilding or upgrading a single cylinder.

Manley uses proven cam and barrel skirt profiles on these pistons, which helps them generate power while also being easier on your cylinder walls during operation. The ring lands and grooves are machined to strict standards, which is important for getting a good seal from your piston rings and maximizing power output. They also use unique fixturing during manufacturing, allowing them to machine the skirt and ring grooves in one setup. This ensures the ring grooves are perfectly square to the skirt, contributing to overall engine health and performance.

This piston comes with premium chrome moly wrist pins, and for some part numbers, Manley offers upgrades to even stronger alloys like 9310 or Turbo Tuff/DLC for added durability. Keep in mind this part is not CARB approved and cannot be shipped to California.
