Manley 7 Degree 16pc Std. Titanium Valve Spring Retainers (for 13089 or Factory Valve Lock)

When you're rebuilding the top end of your 1996-2004 Ford Mustang, you'll get 16 standard titanium valve spring retainers in this set. These are designed to work with either Manley's 13089 valve locks or the factory valve locks, and they're made for a 7-degree valve lock angle. The main job of these retainers is to hold your valve springs in place, but these titanium ones do more than just that. They significantly cut down on the weight in your valvetrain, which helps your engine rev higher and more freely.

Manley uses a special 6AL-4V titanium alloy for these retainers, which is known for being very strong while also being incredibly light. Each retainer weighs only about 5.0 grams, and they're designed using computer-aided design (CAD) to remove as much material as possible without compromising their strength. This reduction in mass is key to improving your engine's RPM potential and ensuring your valves stay controlled even at higher engine speeds. They have a standard installation height and are made for springs with a 1.020 to 1.030-inch diameter.
